Do I need to refrigerate my opened bottle of soy sauce?

Our soy sauces will last indefinitely if stored in the refrigerator. For practical purposes, we suggest enjoying up to two years after the date that the bottle was opened.

 

Do I need to refrigerate my opened pack of miso?

Our miso products should be refrigerated at all times. For practical purposes, we suggest enjoying up to two years after the date that the pack was opened.

 

Do my other Amano Foods’ products also need to be refrigerated?

They should be refrigerated after opening to preserve their premium quality and robust, complex flavours.

 

What’s the difference between Amano Foods and regular soy sauce?

Amano Foods offers premium Japanese soy sauces. Our organic Tamari soy sauce is aged for one year before it is bottled, and put through a special koji fermentation process that gives it it’s robust, complex flavours.

 

Is Amano’s Tamari soy sauce fermented?

Yes. Our soy sauce is aged for one year through a koji fermentation process that was passed down through three generations.

 

Do you have any gluten-free options?

Products with no gluten are the Shiro, Aka and Genmai miso and the Wheat-Free Tamari soy sauce. We do have wheat and barley in our facility.

 

What products are organic / organic certified?

All the Miso products (Shiro, Aka, Genmai, Mugi) and the Tamari soy sauce are organic certified.

 

How should I store my organic products?

Our organic products should be refrigerated after opening to preserve their premium quality and robust, complex flavours.
